| Introduction:
Communities, governments, churches, corporations, schools, families,
non-profit organizations, and many other groups need effective
leaders that are able to steer clear of trouble and lead their
group to make effective decisions and successfully complete their
work. They lead by example and help facilitate group process into
actions that include the bigger picture as well as the problems
at hand. This involves the employment of spiritual values and
principles of higher consciousness rather than simply looking
to maximize the “bottom line”, or to find the most
convenient solution to a problem.
Conscious leaders do not tolerate processes whereby people in
the group feel the need to compromise their values. The conscious
leader demands performance, integrity, competence and a consistent
adherence to a code of moral ethics and spiritual values. These
leaders are not theoretically based but are able to walk the spiritual
and physical domains concurrently, remaining grounded and comfortable
in both. |

This seminar speaks to anyone who is in a position of leadership
– from leading a few group members to leading a large team.
The conscious leader lives the way he or she leads. The conscious
leader has developed the ability to sense what is happening in
the group and to lead without doing any harm to members of the
group. The conscious leader knows that his or her job is to facilitate
process within the group, not to dictate how the group will function.
The conscious leader is not collecting a string of successes.
The conscious leader is helping others find their own success.

Conscious Leadership
Program:
The Path of Advanced Awareness to Conscious
Leadership begins with becoming a conscious person. The principles
of Advanced Awareness are applied to the subject of Leadership.
In addition to the traditional skills that make an effective leader,
the subject of what makes a conscious leader is developed around
the wisdom of the Eastern book of Tao Te Ching, the classic Chinese
book of “The Way”. This unusual book was written over
2,500 years ago in China as a guide to fundamental wisdom and
the art of leadership for the ancient Chinese rulers. The literal
meaning of Tao Te Ching can be translated as: The Great Book (Ching)
of The Way Forward (Tao) with Character and Integrity (Te). The
lessons of this book resonate today as much as they did twenty-five
centuries ago.
This program follows the principles contained in the book: The
Path of Advanced Awareness to Conscious Relationships by Dr. Veeder
South, president of Advanced Awareness. In his book, the primary
conscious relationship we need to develop is the relationship
we have with our self. This program is an extension of that program
and is also derived from the book: The Tao of Leadership by John
Heider. It can be presented as a half-day seminar, two 2-hour
seminars, or as a mini-course over several sessions. The contents
